Up for auction is a Matching Numbers 1966 Fastback 2+2 Factory 289 A-Code with 4 Speed Manual Transmission. this is a complete car including center console. nbsp;Luxury Interior with Bucket Seats. Fold Down Back Seat. Originally Ivy Green. All Original interior panels intact. Original A-Code 289 Engine and 4 Speed Transmission. Unfortunately this car has been sitting since 1976 in poor storage. This car needs a complete body Restoration. " Not for the Novice". Beginner) this car will need extensive Repairs. Full floors. Frame rails. Aprons. Towers. Core support. Trunk. one fender and one door may be salvageable. Rockers appear to be mostly solid. Quarters could be Skinned. nbsp;surprisingly the upper portions of the car are solid. Roof and around both windows are in great shape. Tops of the Quarters. Around the trunk gutter. rear panel around tail lights. rear deck fill panel. All very solid. the Glass is in really nice shape. The original seats are in nice shape aside from a small tear in the drivers seat. dash pad and headliner will need replacing. original Ford radio is still intact. not sure if it works. One of the Positives is that The Original 289- A Code engine was saved and completely rebuilt from top to bottom. /p>*Pistons*Rings*Bearings*Cam*Lifters*Oil Pump*Timing Chain*Balanced. Etc. *Heads were completely gone throughI have the original Carb. and Exhaust Manifolds. I also have the original 4 speed tranny. This car came with some factory GT options such as Heavy duty rear suspension. Front Dual piston calipers with the GT style Master cylinder and the bigger front Sway Bar along with the Gage styling. Although this Mustang needs a lot of work you don't usually find them this complete with the original interior and matching drivetrain. it will be a valuable collector car when finished and all parts are readily available.
