Description for Ford Model T 1909
Former Harrah’s Car re-restored in 2007 and reliably toured since then. Open-valve engine # 13. 36 (December 1909) 6 rivet rear end. correct front axle with one-piece spindles – reinforced with double wishbone for safety - one piece pan. E & J Head. Side and Tail lamps. triple twist horn. working Stuart #24 Speedometer. all brass carbide generator. winged script Brassworks radiator. Rocky Mountain Brakes. Tufted Leather Upholstery. Newer Top and Boot. reproduction wooden Coil Box with correct switch - uses later T coils. Anderson Timer. Wards Riverside tires with good tread and Brass Stem Tubes. Engine professionally rebuilt and starter added by Quality Machine Shop in 2014. Re-bored and sleeved to standard. new pistons. new SCAT counterbalanced crankshaft. new valve seats and guides. new main and rod bearings poured. cam reground. high compression head installed (original Ford Script low head comes with the car) Texas T outside oil line added (does not have square hole transmission cover). Running NH carburetor for reliable touring. Has both exhaust and explosion whistles. Runs well on magneto and dual 6 volt Optima batteries. This is a mechanically excellent solid number 2 car. which shows normal wear from 11 years of touring. Starts easily and runs cool without a water pump. Receipts for over $60K in restoration costs will be provided to new owner. Was featured on the HCCA Gazette cover March - April 2010. Completed a 50 mile tour flawlessly in May 2015.
