Description for Ford Galaxie 1966
Great opportunity for the right person. I started this project and just don't have the time to finish and plan on moving soon so I need to get rid of the car. 1966 Ford Galaxie 500. The original car is a straight up Galaxie 500. when I started restoring this I decided to make it into an XL so most of the parts I have for it to finish it as an XL Version as in the interior and some exterior parts such as the grill. the interior seats that have been reupholstered and are XL bucket seats and an XL rear deck and rear seats. I also have the center console if you want to move the shifter to the floor which I have a B&M shifter for it. 390 cubic inch Cobra Jet Engine with less than 30000 miles on it. 4 barrel Holley Street Avenger carburetor. Car itself only has about a 120k on it. Frame has been rebuilt. New gas tanknew exhaust. All new front suspension. disc brake conversion for front brakes and rear drum brakes. I haven't finished this part yet so brakes are not currently working. All new interior parts. I have about 98 percent of all parts to rebuild this once it is painted. Interior is all new upholstery. Too many parts to list. Motor is strong and runs great. Transmission is a standard Ford cruise-o-matic. New vinyl roof installed which this vehicle originally had. Door jambs and engine compartment painted with Ford Currant Red paint. Rest of body needs little touchups and will be ready for full paint job. A little bit of history on this vehicle. I have owned this vehicle since the 90s. my father owned it before me in the 80s and he bought it from a little old lady who lived next to us before that so I know the entire history of this vehicle. It has never been in any major accidents and has been driven gently. It hasn't been on the road since early 2000 when I had the frame done and put it in storage. The framework was both sides under the rocker panels which these cars were nortorious for rotting. Local pickup only and deals must be made face to face. None of this sending a shipping company to pick it up and sending a so called certified check. Sorry but way too many scammers out there trying to pick up a free ride.
