Although the Thunderbird had been considered a rousing success Ford executives particularly Robert McNamara felt that the car's position as a two-seater restricted its sales potential. As a result the car was redesigned as a four-seater for 1958 and 1959. The new Thunderbird was considerably larger than the previous generation but was a smashing success and has etched itself in history and is truly an iconic American luxury Sports Classic. Beautiful body lines dual unit round taillights stunning front grill and hood and of course the retractable convertible top!

This beautiful example has been very nicely restored and is a functional combination between classic restoration and American muscle power...weve never seen another quit like it. From the outside it looks like the stunning classic 59 Bird Convertible and underneath it hosts a Big Block 454 power-train complimented to a 400 Turbo Tranny and it doesnt stop there...added was a full Camaro front suspension and accompanied by power disc brakes power steering and all dual exhaust....this is a great driving T Bird great power and on the open road it really moves.
