Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this solid dry climate western car, 1966 Ford Fairlane 500XL hardtop fastback, eautifully restored and factory-optioned with the 390 cubic inch big block V8 & C6 automatic transmission. Showcasing a restoration in cosmetics and mechanicals, his car is a perfect candidate to show & drive. The exterior has been restored in the cars correct shade of Springtime Yellow while the interior was restored in correct black vinyl, omplete with bucket seating and the center console. The original 14x4 wheels were replaced with these 15-inch chromed wheels & B.F. Goodrich Touring radials all around. The original wheels are still available with the car. A dry climate car, his Fairlane displays excellent original sheetmetal throughout the body and undercarriage. The paint was re-done in recent history to the correct Springtime Yellow hue. The chrome was removed and restored as well. The brigthwork shows well throughout this Fairlane 500XK.

This unique body style would only be available for two model years, 66 and 67'. This car is unique in the fact that it was ordered with the 390 4V engine as factory equipment, lthough this is not a GT or GTA. 1966 would also be the first year for these options.

The engine compartment is detailed to show.

The interior is in beautiful correct condition throughout.

Further inspection of the engine compartment will reveal the correct 390 cubic inch 4bbl. V8, ressed in its original valve covers and breather assembly. The firewall, nner fenders and core support metal is in excellent condition. This Fairlane 500XLis optioned with power front disc brakes and power steering.

The original trim identification plate is intact and legible. This is a 1966 Ford Fairlane in 500XL trim, rdered with the 390 4bbl. V8, 6 automatic, nd 3.00 differential gearing. The color options are Springtime Yellow for the exterior & black for the interior. The original DSO is Los Angeles, alifornia.

Open the doors to 1966.

The upholstery is in excellent condition, rom the bucket seating to the rear vinyl bench seating. The door panels and headliner also are in very good condition. All of the weatherstrip has been replaced throughout this Fairlane 500XL.

The factory center console is in great shape. The speedometer cluster and original AM radio are still in place and functional.

The dash and instruments are intact and show well as does the dash itself. There is a discreet trio of aftermarket gauges mounted under the dash to monitor oil pressure, ater temperature, nd voltage.

This is a just a great old car and drives down the road beautifully. Be sure to play our video.

Closer inspection of the Springtime Yellow paint will re-iterate the exceptional body and paint condition.

The factory jacking equipment is in place along with a spare tire and wheel.

The undercarriage further showcases the dry climate condition of this car. The floorboards are excellent as are the frame rails. The suspension shows well front to back, reviously rebuilt as well as the engine and transmission. The exhaust system has been replaced. The driveshaft U-joints have been replaced.

Non Texas residents are responsible for paying taxes in his/her state. Overseas customers will be charged a $30.00 fee for wire transfers. We must collect a vehicle inventory tax of .002286% and a small documentary fee of $75.00 on ALL sales.
