Up for sale we have a 1940 Ford Delivery. This was the work van of it’s day with lots of rom to hold your tools. That was then and this now and it is now one of the most sought after and hard to find Street Rods. This is a real Henry Ford Steel that is top of the line with V8 Power Leather Interior and let not forget the all Black Laser Straight Body. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior interior and driveline of the Ford but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned operated and own our entire inventory no consignments and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Delivery. When it was restored it was pulled off the frame and pulled apart. What metal work was need was done before everything was fitted pulled back apart and then painted. It’s covered in the all Black Base with many coats of Clear. Everything was buffed and polished and then put back together. They installed all new seals and weather stripping. It has new glass all around and it still has the manual windows with the smoker glass. All the chrome was either re-chromed or replaced. The stainless down the sides looks as good as any we have seen for the age. The final exterior touch is the new set of 18” and 20” Billet Wheels with new tires.

Next we will take a look at the interior of the ’40. This inside is just as impressive as the outside and provides the perfect complement. It’s all done in Red Leather with Bucket Seats and consoler that becomes part of the back seat. The covers are custom as well as the side panels in the rear. The headliner is also done in red leather. When you look at the dash you will see it’s done in black to match the exterior and has after market gauges. The heat and AC controls look vintage and the column was upgraded to tilt. Also a CD player is located in the consoler along with cup holder front and rear. To go with the black dash it also has black carpet. The door panels are custom and are wrapped in red leather with billet handles.

Finally we will take a look at the driveline of the Ford. When you look under the hood you are sure to like what you see. It’s powered by a 350 V8 that is set off by the polished aluminum and chrome and is mated to a 350 Turbo Trans. The engine is dressed with polished valve covers and intake. Also it has a polished AC Compressor and Chrome Alternator. The exhaust flows through a set of coated headers and dual exhaust. Under the front end it has a Mustang II Rack and Pinion with Power Steering and tubular control arms. The Brakes are Power with disc on the front with drums out back on a 9” Rear End. When you look under it all the floors look great with a solid frame that looks like the stock frame that has been reworked for all the upgrades.
