Description for Ford F-250 1969

For sale is a 1969 Ford F250 Camper Special with Ranger trim. The truck originally had a 360 FE Big Block and C6 Transmission. The sale includes a low mileage 390 FE Big Block that runs very well and C6 transmission. This 390 and C6 came out of a 1972 F350 Camper that I had a couple years ago. I personally drove the 1972 Ford F350 Camper and can attest with 100% certainty that its a good powerful engine and was very reliable. I parted out the camper and have been saving the engine and transmission. Also included in the sale is a 289 V8 engine and C4 transmission that came out of a 1967 Ford Ranchero that I parted out for use with my '67 Fairlane GT that I am currently restoring. The previous owner and his son had plans to fully restore this truck. They did an amazing job on the front suspension which includes new radius arms and new springs. They did a front disc brake conversion - new calipers and rotors that they said cost almost $1k. They did a very good job on the engine compartment. There is currently a 460 block in the engine compartment that I need for another old ford I'm restoring. The title is clean california registration that is current and is currently non-operation status. It should cost less than $100 to register it to drive on the road. The body seems to be very straight - all doors hood tailgate and window glass works properly and opens and closes with no issues. There is a factory storage door/area at the passenger side just towards the rear of the door jamb. The project seems to be complete. Its just a matter of cleaning up the parts brackets accessories and installing them. There are numerous ziplock bags that are labeled and describe the nuts and bolts they are from. The truck rolls very well and steers fine. But has no drivetrain installed. If requested by the new owner i am happy to install the 390 and C6 into the truck (at no additional charge). The motor mounts look to be in good shape. As shown in the photos the sale includes numerous parts to complete it and get it on the road including the following ( in no particular order): starter alternator brackets radiator (2) power steering units original wiring harness (1/2 installed) brand new wiring harness with plugs made especially for 67-72 ford trucks (3) door panels. one of the orange door panels has a cut out for speakers so the spare replaces that damaged one. air cleaner assembly headlight bezels tail light assemblies headliner chrome trim. Gage cluster in good condition. dash pad - shows signs of wear has some cracking. I will post more if I recall anything I missed. This truck may have some special collector value - the rear bumper is engraved with the name "Shelby Ford Inc". I am aware that Shelby did have a fleet of vehicles over the years for deliveries and cargo. it is very likely and possible that this truck did in fact come from Carroll Shelby's headquarters. Please feel free to ask any questions i will post them with answers so everyone can share the information. I love old ford trucks. I have had 5 different 67-72 ford trucks and several broncos in the last 10 years - i love them. I just don't have time to work on this '69 ranger at this time - and I want it to go to someone that can get it back on the road.
