Description for Ford E-Series Van 1964
1964 Ford Econoline Windowless Cargo VanThis van is an INCREDIBLE MARKETING TOOL ! IT GETS MORE ATTENTION THAN ANY AD OR BILLBOARD THAT YOU CAN BUY.....PLUS ITS FUN TO DRIVE! You can't miss it when it's on the street! Horn Honks and "Thumbs-Up" will be a constant when you own this van. Just ask the Gas Monkey Garage guys (who drive the same van as mine to all the shows to sell swag). The van is wrapped in a bright red and the lettering is vinyl decals ON TOP of the red so they are very easily removed. If you are going to use this van for business or promotion all you do it put the new lettering right on. It's easy and it's inexpensive.Van spent it's whole life between New Mexico Oklahoma and Florida. NO RUST.This van is Rust-Free. There is no rust to speak of. See the pictures. Very rare to find a van of this vintage that is in as good of shape as this one is.170 C.I. 6 cylinder motor with 3 speed manual transmission that shifts on the column. It has had a fairly recent full tune up and starts runs and drives as it should.Newer Vintage Cragar wheels with newer tires. See the pictures. They show very minimum tread wear.Brakes are newer and work great.Manual brakesPower steeringThe van has the optional heater. However it does have a leak in the core and needs repair. It just started leaking about a month ago but since I live in Florida we didn't need it so we bypassed it to stop the leak. It will need a patch. The windshield and gasket are newThe seat covers are newer. The doors and the rear walls of the van are insulated. One of the wing windows has some cracks but they are covered by the vintage stickers. I will included a new used window and frame too.The drivers door could used new hinge pins. It sags a bit. There are no arm rests. Don't know if it ever had any.The emergency brake does not work. All the lights work except the dome light. The van runs cool even in the Florida heat.It has an aluminum radiatorThe gas gauge does not work. The van has a brand new factory fit carpet for the front that has never been installed. It's in the box. I'll include that in the sale. It was $175 I think. The van has NO RUST.We spent a lot of money making this van "Daily Driver" friendly and dependable. My husband drives it every single day. We use it for shows etc etc all the time and it's always a great draw and is the focal point of lots of picture-taking. The only reason we are selling it is because we found a very rare "No-Door" Econoline van that is just like this but has no side doors (which is what we really wanted in the first place as it fits our needs better we just couldn't find one at the time). We looked over a year and a half for a van like this in this good of condition. Vans this straight and rust-free don't come on the market every day.IF you decide to paint this van under the wrap is a coat of high-build 2k primer that needs to be blocked and finish sanded smooth. But there is NO RUST. Otherwise just leave it wrapped in red the way it is. I do believe the roof is painted in white enamel.I can help the buyer with transport. (at buyers expense of course). I have affordable transporters that I can hook you up with.Van is sold as-is. Bid to WIN.
