Description for GMC Sierra 1500 1979

I have for sale a 1979 GMC Sierra Classic long bed pickup. I will start with the bad. Windshield has a rock chip that has about an 8" run and also some light scratches. Interior would need work to make show vehicle. Seat cushion is worn, eadliner has some holes, ash pad cracked, arpet is not the best and door panels have some wear. There is a small soft spot on the lower rear bed behind wheel and one spot on drivers side front fender behind wheel. Sat in a shed for some time and back of bed stuck out and has small rust holes in each back corner and passenger side front corner. There are small scratches and minor dents on various parts of the body from use and wear. Chrome and trim are decent but not in bright new condition. Now for the good. Truck has traveled less that 38,000 miles and no it has not rolled over, hey are actual. Truck was bought new a NACAROTO GMC in Nashville Tn. and has been in northern Tn. and So. Ky. all its life. Underside is as clean as you could find for a 1979. Perfect cab mounts with no rust or damage whatsoever. Optional equipment includes Heavy Half heavy duty chassis option, ower steering and power disk brakes, ower windows, ower locks, ilt steering, " rally wheels, /M F/M radio (which was replaced with aftermarket which does not work) and cruise control (which is not hooked up). All gauges and lights work as they should. I have just put on a brand new set of tires, ew NAPA battery and both power window motors. Air conditioner has all original components and has been changed to 134A gas and blows ice cold. Engine is the original 305 cu. in. w/350 turbo trans. Truck will start right up every time and runs, hifts and drives really well as you would expect with a low mileage truck. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. Have not seen any engine, rans or rearend leaks. Square body trucks in this condition are getting harder to find. This is being sold as is with no warranty and as described. I am 70 years old and have been building hot rods and muscle cars all my life and try my best to describe my vehicles as honest as I can so you will not be mislead.
