Description for GMC Other 1941
This is a 1941 GMC USA ArmyUtility truck with a canvas enclosure. The truckwent through a professional partialrestoration (not frame-off)years ago,to be used inWorld War II re-enactments. It has been meticulously maintained, arage-keptand cared for since the partial restoration withother upgrades when needed. During World War II,the truck was probably used here in the USA at various military bases for deliveries and transport. We did not conduct a search on this actualtruck to determine its use during World War II.But, e believe that the truck was not overseas and did not see "action". We were able to determine that many 1941 GMC's were used in North Africa by the British Army.
We do not know the extent of the partial frame-on restoration. The frame-on restoration was done by a professional in New Jersey before 2008.The body work, he paint work, the interior, heglass and militaryaccents appear to be in restored condition. The chassis looks original. We believe that the drive train (engine, ransmission and rear differential is original and un-restored.
The truck was stored for many years. It wasthenpurchased in New Jersey (2008)after seeing it advertised at a military equipment show in Aberdeen, aryland. It was thenbrought to Pennsylvania by its present owner. It comes with a clear Pennsylvania title and you can drive it home. The truck recently went on a 250 mile round trip to an event inNew York with no difficulty. All mechanical equipmentfunctioned properly with no defects noted. There are no dents, o rust, o broken windows and no missing pieces on the truck. You can speak directly to the present owner. Send me a message and I'll give you his phone number.
