The GMC Caballero Diablo is quite rare - it is estimated that only 2,503 of all Caballeros were built in '85, and the Diablo was the top of the line truck! And this is one of the best, if not THE best examples of this rare breed! The Black paint is deep and smooth, the bodywork arrow straight, the chrome plating bright and fresh. The engine was done with a factory GM crate engine, the 200R4 Automatic transmission was built by Art Carr Transmissions. It gives the appearance of a nearly new car! And the driving experience is the closest thing to driving out the showroom door as possible! Tight, quiet, smooth, and everything works including the clock! . And it's beautifully documented - there's the original owners manual and folio, the card from the selling dealer, Mike McCarthy Buick/GMC in Westminster, CA, the Service Manual, the much larger Service Information book, the original sales brochure, and a very large stack of receipts from the restoration and maintenance of the car. the top receipt is the new GM 350 V-8 crate engine, there are also receipts for the transmission, and many, many, many other items. The dash is beautiful, no cracks anywhere, the wood trim is rich, un-faded and vibrant, the steering wheel is beautiful, it's just awesome inside! . Bucket Seats and Console are a nice option on a Caballero, part of the Diablo package. . Beautiful instruments all of which work properly. Even the clock works with a nice ticking sound! The 24,000 miles showing are rollover miles, we think it has 124,000 miles. . Factory AM/FM Cassette - works on both AM and FM, and I don't have any cassettes anymore to check the tape deck! Also note how nice and bright the heater / AC control plastic face is ! . . Beautiful interior! Looks like new ! . Power windows work great, the power doorlocks do too! also note the remote mirror knob. This truck has everything! . Wow! . I can't get over how beautiful the dashboard is ! Also note the original factory AM/FM Cassette player and A/C and heater control. The A/C works great, it blows ice cold! You can drive this car with the windows up on a hot day! . Nice clean engine bay. That's a GM Crate engine installed in the mid-2000's. It is stock except for the Edelbrock headers, which have a CA air resources board clearance sticker so they'll pass smog check. It passed smog just recently, too! . Nice! .
