1982 GMC Sierra 1500
This truck was purchased from an auto salvage auction in 2005. It had body damage only and zero rust. It looks to have been well taken care of and garage kept up until then. It had been repainted white and green at some point by previous owners so we sandblasted and stripped all of the old paint away and filled and primed the entire truck with urethane primer. It was repainted back to it's original almond color with DuPont basecoat and clearcoat. It appeared to be all original parts and no metal needed to be cut or replaced.
The VIN will indicate this is a 6 cylinder truck, but it has been replaced with a V8 and automatic transmission by previous owners. We don't have any information on the engine, but it ran like new the day it was purchased and hascontinuedto run flawlessly for over 10 years now.
The interior appears to be original. The seat is faded on top, but is still in good condition. The blinkers, speedo, and fuel gauges all work properly. All of the weatherstripping has been replaced. The truck got a new windshield and back glass installed.
This truck was driven weekly and kept in an insulated and dry garage.
