NO RESERVE! BID TO WIN! 1956 GMC SHORTBED PICKUP TRUCK! ORIGINAL 87K MILE PICKUP! READY FOR YOU TO BUILD YOUR VERY OWN PATINA STREET ROD OR RAT ROD? A GREAT AND COMPLETE BUILDER! This GMC Shortbed Pickup Truck has been owned by the same owner for nearly 25 years. It is very complete and buildable. It has what we believe to be a 283 or 327 in it. The Truck did run before being parked. The reason it was parked was due to the transmission going out. Body: The body on this Pickup is complete and is fairly solid. It does have some rust in areas which will need to be addressed but overall. it is a great point to build from. All of the glass through out the Pickup is in fairly decent shape. None of which is cracked. Mechanical: The motor that is within the Pickup. we believe it is a 283 or a 327. We are not certain. It has not been ran in over a decade. The transmission within the back of the Pickup will need rebuilt. Interior: The interior of this Pickup is complete and will need gone through. The bench seat is out of something a little more modern but it does fit very well within the Pickup. If you're looking for a great project to build. you've found it. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the GMC early as I do have it for sale "locally".
