Description for GMC Sierra 2500 1970

The story behind this Truck was that it was bought new about 30 mins from were I live in Oregon. The guy who bought it let his son use and he burnt out the transmission. Then they just let it sit for 30 years until I got it. I had a used transmission installed and rebuilt the carb, dropped the tank and got it running. The muffler has a hole in it but it fires right up and runs strong. The paint is pretty nice especially for its age. It has some patina on the roof and the hood. The only rust I found was on the passenger rocker but it's not all the way down just the top part of the rocker. The driver side has some dents on the bed you can see it in the photos. Other then that its pretty straight. The grill looks likes its brand new, the bed is good shape,I think all the gauges work but I will have to double check. The radio does not work.The seat just has a cover over the seat most likely needs to be redone under the cover. The tires are in good shape. Im trying to think what Im missing to mention. Just beware this is not a restored or new truck. It will run and drive and stop, but may need maintenance to take it on a long road trip.
