Description for GMC Typhoon 1993
For sale is my 1993 GMC Typhoon with 30,730 original miles.I am the second owner of the car and since new, the car has always been in California and has been adult owned and driven. It has never been to the track and has always been garaged indoors. While the car has a clean title and has never been in an accident, it has had the cladding painted to match the body, as well has having some panels touched up. The paint is in great condition. There are also no dents to be seen. The interior is in great shape, the leather is excellent, no dash cracks, no bolster wear, buttons are not faded.
I've gone through all systems and I think this has to be one of the nicest and cleanest Typhoon's available. This is a no-stories car that has been well taken care of. The car runs and drives as it should.
Since the previous (original) owner was a car collector and did not drive it much, below is a list of things that I have done to it. I wanted to keep it stock, however, I did a few minor things to improve drive-ability and reliability (all of which can be quickly reversed, and I am happy to do so for the next owner):
All done within the past 12 months:
New AC Delco radiator
New fuel injectors
New turbo coolant inlet/outlet line (refurbished from Sport Machines)
New AC Delco fuel pressure regulator
New AC Delco cap, rotor, distributor, wires
New AC Delco EGR valve
New KN Air Filter
Replaced all fluids, filters
Serviced power steering, transmission systems
Removal, cleansing and re-installation of gas tank
New heater core
New BF Goodrich tires, mounting, balancing
New transmission mount
New solid motor mounts
New Bilstein front/rear shocks
New front sway bar bushings
New front control arm bushings
New rear leaf spring bushings
New front upper/lower ball joints
New AC Delco thermostat
New tailgate striker
New rotors & brake pads
Complete AC service and R12 recharge
New window regulator & motor assembly for passenger window
New front wheel hubs and bearings
Duralast platinum batteryAnd here are the 7 things that I did to modify the car from stock, but can quickly return to stock before shipping (all OEM parts come with the car):
Metal "Typhoon" air deflector to replace old plastic one underneath car (ordered from SyTy.net, also have original plastic piece. This piece cannot be seen unless under the car.)
New intercooler scoop (ordered from SyTy.net, better airflow underneath car. Easily removable.)
1993 GMC Typhoon CD player (tape player didn't work properly, so replaced with the correct AC Delco CD player for 93 Typhoon. Have original tape player.)
RPM Intercooler/Turbo Pipe Kit (replaces weak original flexible hose, but I still have original hose in perfect condition).
1" rear lowering blocks with set back plates (wanted to get rid of the gap between the tire and fender in the rear, but can easily remove and return to stock height.)
New Belltech rear anti-sway bar (Typhoon's didn't come with a rear sway bar.)
New Belltech front anti-sway bar (have original.)
While I have done my best to describe the car, please don't hesitate to ask any questions, request more pictures or come see it. The car is being sold as-is and I would be happy to help with any inspections. I am driving it a few miles each week, so the mileage may change slightly. I am selling the Typhoon locally, so I also reserve the right to end the auction early.
