Description for GMC Sierra 1500 1981
1981 GMC Sierra 4x4 step side pickup truck K15. 350V8 with 4 barrel and headers, aux tranny cooler, glasspack mufflers. New gas tank and lines. Manual choke. Manual locking Superwinch Hubs, original wheels with Cooper tires AT3's, truck runs fine in the summer not so good in the winter, takes a long time to warm up and heater is worthless when it's 5 degrees like today so I'd bring a trailer. The bad is the roof leaks but only when it rains that's why I keep it inside. Truck looks really cool with it's patina from a paint job back in about 1986. Look at the pictures: behind the seat is solid, the rockers, floor, frame, cab corners are solid, a little rust on the front inside wall of the bed that I took a close up, and the worst rust that needs to be repaired right away is on the roof. Engine does not smoke or burn oil. Seat is soiled under the cover. Buy it as is where is, PLEASE look at the photos and understand you are buying a 38 year old unrestored truck. 81,894 miles showing on the odometer, appears original as far as we can tell. I was going to make a "Fall Guy" Lee Majors type replica for car shows but too many projects too little time so this one regrettably has to go.Sold by Alfred Auto Center 6989 State Route 21 Almond, NY 14804 (607) 276-2238
