Description for GMC Suburban 1972
1972 GMC 2500 Custom 3 door Suburban. Would make a sweet lowered hot rod or easy restoration to an all stock vehicle. Has the Factory 350 4 barrel with the TH400 auto trans. Was sitting for the past 5-6 years. I got it running and drive able to load onto a trailer... but still needs work to be a daily driver. It has some external rust but not bad by any means. Typical areas for these older GM vehicles. Floor pans are solid but will need small rocker repair, lower quarter patch panels or repair, drivers door should be replaced.Truck runs and drives pretty good, recent timing chain se, oil pan gasket, HEI Distributor upgrade before it was parked and new spark plugs with wires by me recently. I just did an oil change and disconnected the fuel tank to the fuel pump do to bad gas sitting in the tank. It fired right up on a small can of fresh gas. Carb was cleaned by me and is not the factory Quadrajet but a Holley economizer 450 cfm spread bore, I do have a like new Quadrajet that will come with the truck. All other parts on this rig look to be original other than the carburetor, distributor and steering wheel. Brakes work good and trans shifts fine but will need a service from sitting for so long. Tires were new when parked 5-6 years ago and now show side wall damage on 1 tire and checking on all others but all hold air. Happy bidding and good luck
