Description for GMC C15 1969
Up for sale is my 1969 GMC shortbed. It has an LS motor and transmission out of a 2003 GMC 1500 4L60E transmission, 3.73 rear end gears with a new Auburn posi unit. Throttle by wire. Electric fan and a high quality USA made aluminum radiator. Headers and dual exhaust. It runs very well, I have put 6000 trouble free miles on the truck since I installed the new drivetrain. The motor and transmission had 66,000 miles when installed. It does not leak or run hot, starts right up every time you turn the key. New battery, Classic instruments electronic gauges that look like the original gauges, Tach, clock, speedo and fuel gauge all work and are very accurate. The interior is nice and has a Kenwood radio. The original fuel tank behind the seat was modified for the EFI. I did not want a fuel cell in the bed like most swaps have.
The turn signals work but do not cancel, and the horn does not work. The cab is a non AC cab but the AC compressor is mounted and ready for a vintage air to be installed. The paint job has a few flaws in it and is about 10 years old. It's a daily driver not a show truck. This was a TX truck and as far as I know has not been patched with repair panels. I drove to TX to buy this truck about 9 years ago. I drive it often and have taken it on several trips out of town. It turns heads all the time and people luv this truck.
