Description for GMC C2500 1967

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1967 GMC C2500 pickup for your consideration. The truck is powered by its brand new 454 v8 engine that was professionally built at Engine Technology in Lansing, MI. Everything is new – minus the crank and block. It has a new roller cam, Holley carb, new pistons, new rods, new valve covers, new distributor, new plug wires, new flywheel and heavy duty clutch. The 4 speed manual transmission has the "granny gear" and it shifts through the gears. Other highlights include heavy duty leaf springs, tonneau cover, headers, 16 inch American Racing wheels, Kenwood CD player, DANA 60 rear axle and 4:12 rear end with 8x6.5 bolt pattern. There are roughly 500 miles on the new engine. The truck came to Michigan from Arkansas.
General Motors has always been proud of their truck lineup and have every reason to be this way. The GMC Truck marque first made its appearance at the New York Auto Show in 1912. GMC produced just 372 units that year. That was the beginning of a much larger vision as GMC has been a leading truck manufacturer for now over 100 years. In 1916, a GMC truck crossed the country from Seattle to New York City in thirty days. 10 years later, a 2-ton GMC truck drove from New York City to San Francisco is just 5 days. During the Second World War, GMC produced over 600,000 trucks for use by the United States Armed Forces. GMC has remained synonymous with the word truck and to this day builds the best in the business.
