Description for GMC Suburban/Carryall 1956
Vehicle DetailsThe 1956 Unicorn stored in my insulated Garage for over 20 years, and, arguably, the most Beautiful Grille of the Chevy/GMC Trucks. The 56 looks like a cross between a large Nomad, and a Cadillac! It was a Sacramento Area Truck.
Photos of front and back are NOT my truck. They are to show the style of 1956 GMC front, and the back, “clam shell” doors. I have ALL OEM doors, parts, fasteners, and pieces for completion, and some extras.
Price includes:
2 GMC Hoods
2 Front doors, with OEM roll-up windows with windwings.
Tinted Front windshield, rear glass from upper Clamshell Doors.
Aftermarket, Rear mounted 21 gal Aluminum gas tank
Frame mounted Mustang power brake booster & Wilwood proportioning valve
Over 3K in media blasting, checking for body filler, pin hole rust repair & sealed with gray Epoxy coating 9 years ago- this saves you HOURS of bodywork and patching, and is ready for normal bodywork.
New AutoMeter Platinum gauges including Tach, still wrapped in box. Gasoline sending unit is in tank
1956 GMC Technical /body assembly Shop Manual
Set of 6, Gray leather, folding, reclining minivan seats.
This is a rolling frame:
1975-79 Pontiac Firebird Front suspension, (with disc brakes), professionally welded into stock frame, (see engine/drivetrain photos).
Professionally Rebuilt Rear axle 1980 Firebird 10 bolt with original GM disc brakes.
All, Large, original Chrome parts : 2 bumper, front grille sections are straightened, Rechromed and wrapped in cardboard.
I have ALL small OEM badging, GMC symbols in Origina, Unrestored condition, and hard to get filler panels, windshield trim, interior ceiling metal trim, ans OEM nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc.
NO engine, transmission or driveshaft, ready for Your drivetrain. No wiring.
No sliding side windows or tracks survived. I had envisioned pop out glass, like Ford Expedition, or mini-van style side windows
I recommend “The Filling Station” In Oregon, for specialty rubber window gaskets, etc.
