Description for GMC Other 1968
Good afternoon. up for sale is my 1968 GMC 3500 pickup. The truck runs and drives great and I have been using it for my daily driver and have driven over 200 miles round trip with no issues. I have also hauled nearly a yard of top soil with no issues at all. The truck is a great driver. I am just selling it because I have too many toys around the house and the wife wants it gone. Please keep in mind it is a 50 year old truck. not a brand new show truck. The truck has a little under 88k miles and appears to be correct (odometer still working as it should)The good:Previous Owner rebuilt the small block Chevrolet (SBC) 350 (not a 327) and the 4 speed manual transmission with a first gear granny gear. Truck runs great and looks extremely solid with a 4 barrel Holley carb and a true dual exhaust. The manual drums and manual steering all work as they should. The interior is like brand new with a new dash. new door panels and armrest. new carpet. new headliner and a newly recovered bench seat with no rips or tears. The gauges all work like they should and so does the aftermarket tachometer I added. Windows roll up and down and the heat works as well. The rims are in great shape. the tires have good tread and have held up quite well. There is no rust on the truck at all. I took it down to bare metal. put three coats of epoxy primer and 3 coats of a deep blue pearl over the top (this was done in my garage so it is by no means a top notch show paint job but is a great 10 footer). The truck does have some minor dents and dings from being 50 years old and a work truck. but it looks great and I get compliments everywhere I take it. The bad:There is a slight run in the paint along the crest in the passenger door (I was going to cover it with a piece of trim). It is missing the trim that goes along the front of the fenders and the front of the hood (replacement pieces can be had for around $100).
