Description for Honda Other 1991

This 1991 Honda Beat was imported from Japan by its first original American owner. This car was built in April 1991 and has 110k kilometers (~68k miles). These Pininfarina-designed, mid-engined Kei cars feature a high-revving 660cc engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and rear wheel drive. This example is mostly stock with a Sparco steering wheel and shift knob, aftermarket pedal covers, and mild exhaust. This Beat had the timing belt, water pump, and misc items replaced with 104909km from Honda in April 2017 for longevity. This vehicle has been inspected by Honda and Japanese officials. This Beat just received an oil change and is now offered with a clean Florida title.
Comes with orignal key and spare.

The body and ORIGNAL white paint appear to be in nice condition throughout, with no evidence of accidents or rust. White is very rare for a Honda Beat. They sold many in yellow, red, blue and very few in white. The original Honda Beat design came from Pininfarina, who then sold the plans to Honda. It was reportedly the last car approved for production by Soichiro Honda.
The original fabric soft top is noted to be worn with small tears near the bottom, some pulled stitching and a cloudy rear window. The seller reports the top remains fully functional and watertight. The weather seals are what needs to be replaced after time as its known to get worn by the sun and other elements.
This Beat sits well on optional factory phone-dial staggered 13″ front and 14″ rear wheels in good condition. They are wrapped in 155/65 front and 165/60 rear Yokohama tires.
Inside, a Sparco steering wheel and shift knob have been fitted along with aftermarket pedal covers an aftermarket radio. All instrumentation, gauges, and lighting are said to be in working condition including cold A/C.
The plastic door covers has three holes where the previous owner tweeter system mounted. The phone holder in the picture has been removed for a cleaner look. A Cubby has been inserted to the center under the radio to cover the void. Door panels and carpeting are noted to be in good shape.
The grey door panels look to be faded and would require A shine or wax would bring some color back. This Beat has some rare features as it came from the factory with an original suede interior. The dash and door panels have been tastefully modified by Honda in 1991. The driver's seat has tears in the outside bolster and upper thigh support. The original seats have been covered with leather for protection and for a new look.
Mechanically, this Beat retains its factory E07A 660cc engine and 5-speed manual transmission. The seller says the car starts easily and runs well with throaty sounds thanks to the MTREC system. The oil was recently changed and all fluids were checked. Honda had the vehicle serviced in April for its timing belt. The gearbox is said to shift smoothly with positive clutch feel. Steering is said to be responsive, while the suspension is reportedly tight and free of squeaks or rattles.
This low-mileage Beat looks to be a good driver with strong mechanicals and a few cosmetic needs. With a mid-engine, rear wheel drive layout and low curb weight, this car should provide the new owner with plenty of fun.
