Nicknamed “the Bulldog” in Japan, Turbo II’s are characteristically boxy. The non turbo versions could be optioned with a folding motocompo scooter that fitin the trunk. This combo is extremely rare and unlikely to be found stateside for some time.

The design featuresa hood bulge and wide wheel arches. The body wears a factory correct (B-33M Sonic Blue) finish and Turbo II door graphics on both doors.

The dash featuresworking gauges, a digital speedometer, and an aftermarket Panasonic CD head unit. Both the front and rear seats feature two-tone fabric. The rear seat folds down. The headliner is taught and clean while the original carpeting is covered by OEM graphic Turbo II mats.

The1.3L CVCC isfactory turbocharged / intercooled and paired it to a 5-speed manual. The single overhead cam 4-cylinder layout had three valves per cylinder and producedaround 100 horsepower when new.

The Turbo II rides on a four-wheel independent system and uses progressive rate coil springs with stabilizers both front and rear. Tires are 13” Yokohama 185/60R and show about 50% tread. Brakes are in good condition, vented discs up front and shoes at the rear. A couple undercarriage shots shows surface rust.

While extremely clean and original, this 32 year old vehicle is not a show car. It was exported with rust on exposed hardware, A, C pillars, lower corner of passenger door, drip rails along roof. If you’re looking for perfection, this is not it. The carpet on the seatback shows some wear and the driver rear headrest stitching is loose.

All in all, car is solid and a reliable driver that could be made show ready with paint correction if so desired.
