Description for Honda Civic 1994
Up for sale is a very clean original 73k mile EG sedan. D15B7 with 4 speed automatic. No AC. No sunroof. No ABS. Power Steering & brakes. This is the low mile car everyone is looking for. Driven to the store once a week for years. I purchased the car from my neighbor. She was the original owner from new. Car spent the first 14 years stationed in Germany, the last 14 years next door. Car recently left her stranded and she decided to sell. I bought and sorted the car out to offer it for sale.
Condition of car:
Paint is original metallicCamellia Red (Maroon). Faded but glossy clearcoat. Some crazing of the clear on hood and roof front portion. Fair amount of door dings on body but nothing major. No large dents anywhere. No hail damage. Front bumper is mint. Missing passenger fender liner.
Plastic body trim is faded. Door window edge rubber moulding is faded and peeling. These should be replaced to improve looks. Mirror paint are also flaking and in need of refinishing. Passenger exterior rear door handle is stiff and doesn't spring back, but does work.
RUST Underneath body undercoating is intact and no major body rust. The only rust/rot I can find is in the rear crash bar under bumper. This bar is easily replaceable with another. Light rust on bolts and oil pan etc. Front suspension and brakes are rusty. Has the typical EG rear fender lip rust bubbling paint see photos.
Interior floor under carpet is rust free except for small spot in rear of spare tire well. Possible water leak around trunk seal.
Interior upholstery is in good condition. Needs some cleaning of carpet. Steering wheel top cracking. Drivers door panel top starting to crack. All indicators and dash switches seem to work. Radio head unit is disconnected but wiring is intact.
Engine is unmodified and looks all original. Idles almost silently. Pulls through the revs with no misfires or hesitation. Car drives and shifts nicely.
Repairs/Maintenance/improvements
New fuel filter, Air Filter, spark plugs, oil and filter.
Recent battery Genuine Honda
New main relay.
Running issue was bad capacitor in ECM causing fuel pump relay to flake out. I replaced ECM capacitors with new.
Exhaust was badly rusted so I sourced a NOS Bosal mandrel bent mid pipe and clean '96 rear muffler section. Catalytic convertor is original and in place. Car idles quiet like a new car.
Tires were 10 years old so I replaced all with brand new Laufen G-Fit AS 175/70-13.
New front emblem.
Clean Alabama title.
Tried to best describe the car how I'd like to have it looked at. If any more photos or info is needed please message me.
The car just needs some love and restoration and will make someone a very nice 90's Honda.
