Description for Honda Civic 1994
Vehicle DetailsUp for sale is a 1994 Honda civic SI Hatchback. It has roughly 209k original miles on it. Timing belt and water pump wet done about 60k miles ago. This car also had a new clutch replaced approximately 20k miles ago. There are lots of new parts under the car and under the hood . New NGK Spark plug, recent oil change (about 10 miles ago, fully adjustable Function form type 1 coil over suspension. All new brake lines and hoses as well as new remanufactured (NISSIN) calipers. There is brand new rotors and pads all the way around as this car has 4 wheel disc brakes . When it comes to brakes and older vehicles safety is paramount. I also put a new (remanufactured) nissin master cylinder as well as a brake booster . The starter was replaced approximately 5k miles ago. The transmission was religiously drained an filled with new fluid every 30k miles or so. The car shifts fine goes into gear an does not pop out in any gear . Clutch does not slip it grabs an does what it’s supposed to do . It has oem steelies wrapped in 185/65/14’s with the original hubcaps from 1994. The hub caps like everything else on this car have been sanded an refinished using high quality materials . There is also a brand new oem denso half radiator with all new hoses and thermostat.
Exterior
As far as the exterior goes everything looks better then new . Everything was done properly and professionally meaning all the glass was removed prior to anything to ensure an better then oem finished product. I am a autobody painter an I have done everything on this car the proper way using high quality materials. I have lots of pictures and videos of the whole process showing the arduous amount of work it took to get the car to where it is now . First starting with the rear quarter panels they were cut out then everything was epoxied and then the replacement panel was welded on and body worked . It is imperative to epoxy and have a good foundation to build on top of . After the body work and priming was done the car was blocked out and sealed using 9K ultra sealer by Sherwin Williams. I used a solvent borne paint made by Sherwin Williams called “Sunfire pro”. After the base coat was laid out I installed a new oem “civic SI” decal and began to lay 3 coats of clear also a Sherwin Williams brand clear. After that the car was sanded with 600 grit I knocked about a layer of clear off then I added 2 more coats of clear . Then car was then wet sanded to give it the smooth show quality finish it has now.
Interior
The interior of this car also look better then new . All the seats are original and they are in fabulous condition. I did however take the interior out and use a high quality sound deadener . Then I installed a new black
Carpet and I had custom made “civic” floor mats . They don’t make these anymore so someone in Lithuanian made them . You probably won’t see another set like them . The carpet on the inside of the car also extends to the rear hatch area just as oem did . I have the original stereo that was in the car when new it will come with the sale as well as a few other small things . I put a aftermarket Sony Bluetooth stereo and speakers in the car. The speakers are made by “skar audio” they are all amplified. There is a very tiny amplifier tucked behind the dashboard and another amp for a subwoofer mounted under the passenger seat. Every exterior bulb on the car has been changed to LED but not super bright obnoxious bulbs. These are 8000k bright white . Also Installed are new aftermarket 50/50 tail lights .
I have a video of the car on you tube click or copy and paste link in your browser https://youtu.be/P1afFlFgksk
Cons
The sunroof will need some attention. I believe the plastic bushings are worn out that allow it to function correctly. I have never had a problem with it leaking but I also never drive it in the rain and this car stays in a garage when it is not being driven. I will also give the new owner a complete used sunroof mechanism with the sale. Keep in mind this is not a brand new car it is a classic. These cars are getting pretty rare especially in OEM condition. I tried to be as open and transparent as possible with anything wrong with the car. This is a good solid car that I wouldn’t for a sec I think twice about driving it across the country. Please message any questions or concerns and keep in mind it’s for sal, not on sale. Thank you for looking.
