Description for Hummer H1 1980
This is an exceptionally high quality, custom built 1987 M998 HMMWV, that was finished in June 2018. This is my personal vehicle, that was built as a prototype between myself, and a host of ASE Certified Technicians, at our 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Virginia. We built this Hummer, with a plan of building additional models, including a variety of upgrades and options to add to our existing successful business portfolio. However, as our current business model continued to expand, with the economical growth, the HMMWV project went on hold, hence why only this one was built. We completed this build in June 2018, since then the HMMWV is used as my daily driver. This Hummer comes with a clear Virginia title that can be transferred to other states. This build includes the following:
Restoration:Complete disassembly of the body and all components. All removable components were media blasted, then powder coated textured black (bumpers, hinges, grille guard, seat platforms, grille, wiper arms, E-brake, gear selector, everything). The body was completely stripped, prepped with Xalta (Dupont) etch primer, then coated with Xalta build primer, then prepped again to insure a flawless base. The body was then base coated with Granite Crystal Metallic paint (Xalta), then finished with multiple coats of Xalta clear coat. This paint system will provide many years of exceptional appearance and durability. The paint quality on this Hummer is better than most show cars and has almost 2,000 hours of labor. The inside of the body was coated with spray in bed-liner to provide years of durability. The top and doors were refinished in satin black. All weatherstripping and seals were replaced. All body hardware was replaced with black stainless steel 18-8 and 316.New windshield glass and seals were installed. All marker lights and lenses were replaced.Headlights were replaced with new LED HD.LED Blackout Light

Powertrain/Drivetrain:6.5L Detroit Diesel Engine (replaced in 2015 by the military according to the tag on the engine). The engine is strong, no blow by, and fresh with Amsoil fluids.3L80 Transmission (3-Speed Automatic)

The HMMWV has a newer engine installed by the military. It is a 6.5L Detroit Diesel (Optimizer) with a 2015 date stamp on the block. Mechanically and cosmetically, this is a sound and beautiful machine, but built to perform. The build quality on this truck is first class and built by professionals. If you have any additional questions or would like additional pictures, please let me know. I've tried to include some of the build pictures to show the restoration process, along with some different natural lighting to display the changing effects of the metallic in the paint.
The HMMWV is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove the listing, until the reserve is met.
