Description for International Harvester Scout 1979

Here's a rare chance to own a 95% original, unning, n-modified, n-restored Scout II in overall great shape for it's age.I bought this Scout in Tennessee in 1994 and moved it to Texas in 1997.Since then it has been garage kept and rarely driven. There is no lift kit, o roll cage, nd no custom aftermarket accessories added. You can restore it to it's factory glory, ake it your own custom trail rig, r just spruce it up a little for a nice toy.It has the 345 V8 engine, 27 Torqueflite auto tranny, arter ThermoQuad 4bbl carb, ana 44 axles, .07 gears, ana T20 Xfer case, 0x9.50 tires on factory rims, kyjacker OEM shocks, ear step bumper, nd deluxe black interior. It runs good, nd has a current state inspection sticker for TX.The window regulators and door locks have been replaced and work great, nd I will include a new ignition switch matching the door key.I'll also throw in a NOS gas cap still in the wrapper. The interior is factory original and in remarkably good condition for the age.The dash is excellent with zero cracks.E-brake cables were replaced in Jan this year. The gauges and back-lights are working except for the clock. To my knowledge, he top has never been removed.I replaced the original speedometer with a used one after it began to stick, o the mileage reported above is an estimate. The replacement speedometer reads 5077.As this is not a restored truck, t does show typical wear and tear for a 36yr old vehicle with over 100K miles. There is rust in the usual Scout spots: rockers, ower body panels, nd a lower corners of the windshield area. These should be repairable without replacing sheetmetal. It has been at least partially re-painted (original color) and re-striped at some point long ago by a previous owner, nd has had minor body repair to the right front fender. The old paint in places has cracks visible up close, specially the hood and around the fuel filler. The rubber cab mount bushings need replacing. It has some slow oil leaks. The original heater valve is crusty and can't be opened/closed from the dash control lever. The factory A/C compressor is included but has been removed while replacing the alternator recently.Factory cruise-control is not working, nd a new speedo cable is in place bypassing the C/C box. This vehicle is being sold as-is, here is, ith no warranty expressed, ritten or implied. The seller has described this vehicle to the best of his/her knowledge and shall not be responsible for description discrepancies or oversights, nd makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, mperfection, efect or damage.Any and all descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type.It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle to their satisfaction within 24 hours prior to the end of the auction.Seller assumes no liability or responsibility for any repairs.A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48hrs of end of auction. The remainder is due within 7 days of auction end (cash in person or cashier's check only). If shipping, unds must be cleared in advance.License plates and registration sticker will be removed from vehicle and retained by seller prior to transfer.Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle.Seller will make reasonable efforts to assist buyer's shipper if located within 25 miles of Fort Worth, X.
