Description for International Harvester Other 1963
THIS IS A RARE 1963 METROMITE. HAS THE 4 CYLINDER 152 ENGINE, AME ENGINE AS THE SCOUT 80/800. THREE SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. IT STARTS AND RUNS GREAT. NOT RUNNING ON STOCK GAS TANK, E HOOKED UP ANAUXILIARYTANK (NOT INCLUDED WITH THE SALE). THE STOCK TANK IS STILL IN THE METRO. NO BRAKES, HE MASTER CYLINDER IS MISSING. THE DRIVERS SEAT IS MISSING BUT IT STILL HAS THE RARE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT. MOST OF THESE ONLY HAD ONE SEAT FOR THE DRIVER AND NO PASSENGER OR BUDDY SEAT. THIS METRO IS THE SHORTEST WHEELBASE OFFERED AND IT IS VERY SMALL IN SIZE, ESIRABLE TO MAKE INTO A MOBILE COFFEE TRUCK OR ANY OTHER ADVERTISING PIECE FOR YOUR BUSINESS. ALSO WOULD MAKE A GREAT RAT ROD. IT HAS TONS OF PATINA. THE BODY IS IN WELL ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION FOR MOST. HAS SOME RUST AT THE ROOF LINE AND FRONT FENDER AREA. THE BEST PART OF THE BODY OVERALL IS THE LOWER AREA ALL THE WAY AROUND (USUALLY THE MOST PRONE TO RUST) THIS METRO SAT BEHIND A GARAGE AND WAS USED TO STORE ALL THE USED MOTOR OIL COLLECTED FROM OIL CHANGES. WHEN I PURCHASED IT, HE FLOOR WAS COATED WITH OIL. IT STILL HAS OIL DRY ALL OVER THE FLOOR AS SEEN IN THE PICTURES. THE OIL SAVED THIS METRO. THIS IS A BLANK CANVAS FOR A RESTORATION, OD OR BUSINESS ADVERTISING TOOL. THESE VINTAGE STEP VANS ARE VERY POPULAR RIGHT NOW. SOLD WITH A PA SALVAGE TITLE ONLY. IT IS UP TO THE BUYER TO GET IT TITLED FOR ROAD USE, T CAN BE DONE.THERE ARE TWO VIDEOS OF IT RUNNING ON YOUTUBE. USERNAME BARNESIHSALES
