Selling my Scout project. Originally bought to restore and health reasons are forcing me to sell before I was able to begin. Here is your chance to build a Scout the way you want. This is the most popular model and the one that everyone wants and is the best investment out of all the models. This is a nice original Scout that will make a nice rig when restored. When I purchased, he previous owner stated that the V8 motor was fresh with less then 4k mi on it. The problem was that it didn't run due to wrong timing and incorrect firing order. I corrected the firing order and timing and got it to fire right up on a gas bottle. Since the last auction, have had the tank sent out, leaned and tested. New sending unit installed. The carb has been totally rebuilt and an electric fuel pump was installed. Runs and drives now without the gas bottle...lol. The valve covers are now on with new gaskets. It's missing the air cleaner. She runs fine with no strange noises and I was happy because the motor seems fine. It has a 4 speedthat shifts correctly and in good shape in all gears. The brakes work as they should and has Dana's front and rear. It has power steering and disc brakes up front but the power steering has a small leak. A new battery was installed. The exterior color is/was a very cool IH Divisional Blue. I was going to return to it's original color due to the interior door jams and such being blue. The body is in good shape. the lower rockers, enders, owl and bottom ofdoors all look solid...see pics. The previous ownerattempted to repair the rear fender lips and its not a good job but minor considering most of these thing are totally rusted out there.. There are some other bumps and bruises from being 44 years old that will require some smoothing but not bad at all. The hood, oors and tailgate lines are all good and fit nice. the interior is original and complete and is really in good shape without any tears or rips...it just needs cleaning. It has avery cool original stitch work design on the seats. The tires look brand new. The top had never been off until I took it off. The seal had never been broken. I took it off because I was getting ready to take it to the paint shop. Have lots of spare parts that go with her I.e.-rear bumper, ide mirrors, nd side trim moldings. This is a great opportunity and priced right. Please be serious and remember its not drivable cross countryand its not perfect....its a project and needs to be restored. You would be surprised about the questions like "can I drive it home", there are dents", surface rust", tc....it's 44 years old!
Fairly low reserve and already sold it once and it wasn't even drivable then...
