Check out this rolling memento to those days of discovery as MotoeXotica is pleased to present this 50-year survivor Binder, a two-owner, beautiful turquoise 1966 International-Harvester 100A half-ton pickup truck with less than 15,000 actual miles on the clock!
A Mr. Finne in Little Rock, Arkansas bought this truck new on December 31, 1966 for $1,940 at his local International-Harvester dealer. He traded in a 1958 Chevrolet pickup truck, which was valued at $545, and left with a 24-month loan totaling $1,395, or $64.18 per month, on the new truck. Factory options on this truck include cigar lighter, driver’s arm rest, heater and defroster, seat belts, increased cooling capacity, factory undercoating, heavy-duty bumpers and bed side trim moldings.
Outside, its Turquoise Metallic paint (code 6452) is in good shape considering its age and shows occasional patina. The fenders and roof have blemishes, as does the cargo bed. Windshield, side door glass, vent windows and rear window are intact and clear. All vehicle lights are present, lenses are intact and clear. Truck rides on Summit Siempre VI radial tires, size 205/75R15, surrounding factory steel wheels and hubcaps, which have been repainted white, as have the optional heavy-duty bumpers. The front bumper shows some minor blemishes upon close inspection. The battery appears to be in overall good shape, as does the engine bay, in which is the original BG241 “Tilt Valve” 240 CID inline six engine, attached to an original three-speed manual transmission with column shift and a 3.54 rear end. Body panels are straight and in good overall condition. The cargo bed, as you would expect, shows signs of wear from use and that’s where the full-sized spare tire is located.
Open the driver’s door, which still closes with surprising solidity, and a gold interior that’s in fine overall shape greets you; the color is unique on a such a utilitarian vehicle. The bench seat is in great shape considering its age and use and while there is no carpet, the floor mats and turquoise floorpan are in great shape. The headliner, mirrors, dashboard, two-spoke steering wheel and shift lever are all in good, overall condition and all of the gauges work as designed. The door panels are in decent shape and you can see that previous drivers made good use of the driver’s arm rest during the time they owned this truck. The truck has no radio but there is a speaker in the top center of the dashboard and fuses are tucked behind the glovebox door.
Original documentation included with purchases includes bill of sale, loan paperwork, line setting ticket, owner’s manual, service manual and warranty/service policy plus insurance cards, vehicle registrations, etc. Spare parts come with the truck, including a windshield, right fender and other miscellaneous items.
Competitors to this truck in 1966 included Chevrolet’s and GMC’s C-10, Ford’s F-150 and Dodge’s D-Series trucks.
Current mileage on the odometer shows 14,374 actual miles. It is sold as is, where is on a clean and clear, actual mileage title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!
