Description for International Harvester Scout 1979
NO RESERVE AUCTION (Hagerty Value $12,000 - $28.000 almost as hot as the old Broncos, values going up now) 1979 International Harvester Scout II Rallye 4x4 RARE ORIGINAL PAINT AND DRIVETRAIN, 133,305 miles, 304 cubic inch V8, auto transmission, limited slip rear dana 44, rare factory cruise (doesn't work, haven't really tried it?), factory tilt steering, brand new front and rear seat covers original foam was still very good, brand new carpet/padding and visors (black not installed yet waiting for mounting brackets will be done by auction close), power brakes are great no pulling or pulsating, emergency brake even works, 4x4 engages easily to all positions, lockouts also move freely, power steering, all gauges in dash work and also has tachometer on the floor, brand new exhaust (welded and very well done -- sounds great, no emissions), 2 tires are like new and other 2 are good but not great, AZ truck so very solid with rust only in usual places, ORIGINAL PAINT with patina that you can only get from years of service and use!! (only original once, but also easy restoration project if you want), frame, floors and underside very nice, great sounding Pioneer stereo/cd, horn and wipers work, spare tire in back, rear tailgate and lift window operate and have no rust to speak of, roof rack, windows roll up and down and side windows slide easily, motor runs great, transmission shifts like it should (both drip some oil/fluid not terrible) new Felpro valve cover gaskets included (figured I would let new owner decide how much engine clean-up and so on they wanted to do), lights and blinkers work, very cool original Scout. Walk-around and running video on YouTube search "1979 IH Scout II Rallye 2018". I reserve the right to sell locally if no bids. Please call Dave with any questions 612-987-1878.
