International trucks of this era did not come with a bed. It was ordered as an option from several manufactures from the dealers. Therefore one had the option of building their own bed and as such any bed is considered period correct. And custom made beds therefore reflect the uniqueness of the time. And to this point I direct your attention to the picture of the drivers side headlight. Notice on the headlight frame on the right side two small rivets. At a time in the distant past an owner fixed a break in the headlight frame by rivetingthe break together. It is almost unnoticeable as it is so well done. However this repair reflects a past time when fixing things was the way people approached a problem, instead of the modern era where you just buy a new one or a good used one. As such I have endeavored to keep this truck true to its past when I upgraded it and put it back to good condition.
