Description for International Harvester Scout 1970
This 1970 International Harvester Scout 800 is powered by a 304ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual gearbox and a dual-range transfer case. The truck has been repainted green, and additional alterations include power steering, a dual exhaust system, aftermarket wheels, fender flares, custom upholstery, and more as detailed below. The carburetor, oil pump, and water pump have been rebuilt, and the fuel system was refreshed two years ago.This Scout 800 is now offered by the selling dealer with recent service records and a clean title.
The body and the removable hardtop were reportedly repainted green approximately six years ago, and the current finish is shown up close in the photo gallery below. Black fender flares have been added, and additional exterior equipment includes a rear receiver hitch, roof rails, windshield wipers, aftermarket bumpers, and fog lights.
Eagle Alloys 15″ wheels are wrapped in 33″ x 12.5″ Thunderer Trac Grip mud-terrain tires, and the front axle is equipped with manually locking hubs. A power-steering system has been added, and the steering box was reportedly upgraded with a larger unit from a Scout II.
The cabin features two-tone bolstered bucket seats with headrests, matching door panels, black carpeting, and a painted dash. An aftermarket head unit and power port have been fitted.
A replacement wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a set of Classic Instruments gauges. The six-digit odometer shows approximately 9900 miles.
The 304ci V8 sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
The carburetor, oil pump, and water pump were rebuilt in the past two years, and electrical sorting was also performed.
