This is a great truck that's really fun to cruise in. It always draws a crowd at car-shows and gets positive attention around town. The 392 V8 is powerful and sounds great. The interior is nice and the seats are comfortable. It's a patina/surf/hot-rod/farm truck. so it isn't perfect and there are still some projects left. Here's a detailed overview and please don't hesitate to contact me with additional questions. Thanks for looking! Condition: Body: Obviously imperfect but this truck is pretty stunning in person and people always marvel over it. Heavy patina and vibe for days. Body is fairly straight aside from some impact damage and obvious repair on the driver's rear quarter. Mostly original paint-- what's left! Does not appear to have ever been resprayed. Most rust is just surface rust but there are a few small spots of rust-through: the driver's floor section. the starboard rear wheel arch and the base of the tailgate. None of these seem terrible to me. but I'm not a body man. Interior: Original upholstery in very good condition considering it's age. Foam still has spring to it and no obvious tears in the seats. Original headliner is intact and hasn't fallen. Dash is cracked but colorful. What works: horn. temp-gauge works (rises to normal and stays there). great stereo. (6x9" speakers painted to match door-panels). ammeter. dash light. What doesn't: fuel gauge- have not troubleshooted. Rear window is finnicky- goes up and down via electric motor but sometimes needs help. Original switch is intact and in situ but appears to be bad so a replacement switch is wired under the dash. Lighting: All exterior lights work and most have new or perfect original replacement lenses. This truck had to pass California's rigorous Brake and Lamp inspection so no lenses could be faded or cracked. Engine: Runs and drives well but could use a little TLC. Motor has great compression. 185-190 lbs per cylinder. Does not appear to be burning oil or have any blow-by. Recent work includes all new ignition components (distributor cap. rotor. points. condenser. plug wires. plugs). replaced alternator (with used unit) and new voltage regulator. New air filter. fuel pump. rebuilt carburetor and fuel lines-- altho one section of fuel line needs replacing where it rubbed against the alternator belt). oil change and oil filter. new heater hoses and cooling system flush. Have not gotten around to belts so they need doing. Radiator hoses seem ok. The carburetor is an aftermarket Holley installed by the previous owner and may not be the optimum carburetor for the engine. It has been rebuilt and it runs ok but it could be better. Perhaps it needs to be re-jetted or simply tuned better. I do not know how to tell which model Holley it is. If anyone knows and would like me to check just shoot me a message. Exhaust: Dual exhaust with glasspacks sound incredible. Will probably need to be replaced eventually however because it smells like it has a leak somewhere. Driver's side exhaust manifold and gasket have been replaced. Trans: 727 trans shift smooth and quiet. Brakes: Working great. New master cylinder. rebuilt brake booster. replaced front drums and pads. Drums have been turned and new Timken wheel bearings pressed in. Wheel cylinders appear to have been replaced recently. Parking brake is strong. Rear end: Not sure what rear axle it is. but it seems to be in great shape and has fresh gear oil. Steering: Power steering box was apparently rebuilt by previous owner. new center link. pitman arm and replaced tie-rods. Suspension: Torsion-bar front end. leaf spring rear. Truck could use new shocks all around but it still rides pretty good. If you haven't driven one of these 2WD Internationals they ride really nice. Wheels and tires: Nice steel wheels resprayed in Ford Wimbeldon White and tires are nearly-new very low-miles Goodyears. History: This truck was parked in front of a house near my work. The gentleman had rescued it from a scrap yard and done some work. but had tons of project cars so the Travelall was wasting away. I dug it and after we came to an agreement a buddy and I spent about a year getting it back on the road and in it's present condition. If you've read through the description above you're probably aware that I've poured far too much dough into this truck and am taking a considerable loss but need to free up the money to put toward the next project!
