Description for International Harvester Scout 1979
1979 International Scout II 4X4. This Scout was originally delivered to Valley International in Townsend. Montana. It was manufactured at International's Fort Wayne Plant. The original owner special ordered this scout and accepted delivery on 4-14-79 and drove it to his home in Butte. Montana. It stayed with him in Butte for about 28 years. This 1979 Scout II is in excellent condition and is a lot of fun to drive. It has just over 56. 00 original miles! This Scout has the IH 304 V-8 paired with a 4-Speed Warner Manual Transmission. The transfer case is a TC-145 2-Speed. This Scout is in amazing original condition and the pictures should speak for themselves. I believe that the top has never been off. There is a little rust in a few places. but there is very little. especially considering that it is a 1979 Scout. The interior of the Scout is also in excellent condition. It has the original "Pillow Top" seats which are in great condition except for the leading edge of the drivers side of the front bench. The original floor mats are in great shape and the original headliner is also in outstanding condition. The original AM-FM Radio still works all the lights and blinkers work as they should. The side-view mirror on the passengers side is missing and I have not taken the time to locate a replacement. The Line Setting Ticket is still stuck to the inside of the glove box door! I also have the original full-size line setting ticket and the 100. 00 Mile/5 Year Limited Engine Durability Warranty pamphlet filled out and signed by the original owner. This isn't a photocopy of the original. it is the original document! I also have a few additional parts for this Scout. I have an original Scout II factory roll-bar that I have never installed. It came out of a 1976 Scout "Patriot" and will need to be repainted. but it is in good original condition. I also have a Scout II factory accessory Push Bar that fits over the front bumper. The Push Bar is used. but it in excellent condition for it's age. I also have a set of Original sliding side windows for the Hard Top. These sliding window's are in good used shape. but are also not installed on this scout. Each of these 4 items are included in this Auction!I am more than happy to discuss the Scout over the phone. Just send me a message. I reserve the right to end the auction early. My plan. though. is to let it run it's course. If you don't have the money to complete the transaction. please don't bid.
