An excellent "flip" !About the Model:The Jaguar XK140MC was manufactured by Jaguar between 1954 and 1957 as the successor to the XK120. Upgrades included more interior space. improved brakes. rack and pinion steering. increased suspension travel. and telescopic shock absorbers instead of the older lever arm design. The Fixed Head Coupe (FHC) shared the DHC's interior trim and rear seat. The prototype Fixed Head Coupe retained the XK120 Fixed Head roof-profile. with the front wings and doors the same as the Drophead. In production. the roof was lengthened with the screen being placed further forward. shorter front wings. and longer doors. This resulted in more interior space. and more legroom. According to Car-Nection in the three years of production there were only a total of 2800 manufactured in Coventry. England. Of those 733 were sold domestically in Great Britain and 2067 were manufactured for export. An exact number of how many of these cars a left is unknown. however. it can easily stated that there are far fewer on the road today. This particular engine is the "C" Type. making it even more valuable. The exact spec would be XK 140 3. 4 SE (C-Type Head) ("MC" in USA). This special model is rare and highly collectible.
