Due to my friends health reasons, am selling this car, his XJR-S has until recently spent its entire life in Texas and Arizona. This is a rust free car. In 1993 Jaguar was in the middle of production of the famed XJ220, nd as a side line commissioned 100 cars only for the USA market to go to their race facility and be fitted with some performance upgrades to make this car one of the rarest and fastest production vehicles Jaguar ever made. In association with Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR), aguar took the XJS platform and called the cars the XJR-S. 25 red convertibles, 5 black convertibles, 5 red coupes, nd 25 black coupes were produced. This is one of the 25 red convertibles. There are only about 20 of these cars that can be found today and none on XJS data website. The cars were fitted with a special 6.0 Liter aluminum performance V12 and a Zytec electrical system (not Lucas). Special exhaust, uspension modifications and a new style of body and rear wing were also fitted to the car. The wheels are unique only to these cars and this is the only XJR-S with factory chrome wheels. The other 99 cars have painted wheels. There is a solid sterling plaque on the console unique to these models with the build number of #16. This example was originally order by a playboy centerfold and was the first XJR-S to be sold in the US, ven though it was the 16th produced as the chrome factory wheels displaced the production mark. The paint is brilliant red with a tan top and Connolly leather interior. This car is fully loaded. The parade boot is with the car and also looks brand new. (black dot with red circle in pic is a camera phenomenon and not actually on the plaque) I have the original build sheet and the Jaguar heritage trust certificate. The original selling price with the dealer up charge and gas guzzler taxes was around $125,000.00. The top speed of 155mph can easily be achieved. I have a friend that had the rear-end changed and their car achieves an even higher speed.

I have not been able to trace a recent sale as one rarely comes up for grabs. They are being sucked up by collectors as they are the rarest production jags in history. The paint is original and has a few minor blemishes. The car has never been in an accident, nd runs great. The car is being put up for sale at no reserve and will be sold as is with certificates and providence. I will entertain offers for a buy it now above the listing price.
