As pictured, 971 JAGUAR XJ6 for restoration. Dual Carbs 6 cylinder automatic. Only 35k miles, tated as original from previous owner. Been in storage for the past 15+ years. Did fire with starting fluid, ut no other attempts to get it to run. Rolls fine, rakes work. Really nice body and interior. Great find. Clear title. Sold strictly "as is" with no warranty. Must be picked up in Dalton WI, bout an hour north of Madison WI. Any questions? Ask before you buy, ot after. You will need to trailer the car, can offer some loading assistance.
Bought this from an elderly gentlemen who purchased it from the original owner in 1979. Claims miles are original at 35k. Been in storage for 15 years. Battery dead. New 'used' tires. One of the previous owners moved the side view mirrors forward to the fenders like the 60's models had. I bought this several months ago in hopes of restoring it as a driver, ut have another project now and need the garage space. It fired up with starting fluid, pulled the cover on one of the carbs and it was very clean. Did not notice any 'varnishy' gas smell in either tank. Looks like it may have been properly stored. I have not had a chance to work on the car aside from the initial once over when it arrived. The tires hold air and this car rolls great and stops like it should. If I had a bigger garage, 'd keep it. It's a beautiful car in and out. I'd have to give it a 9 out of 10. Not perfect, ut a good project car.
Deposit is non-refundable and due within 24 hours of auction end. Balance must be paid within 7 days. Title released after car is picked up. Cashier's check must clear my bank. Wire transfers are treated like cash, ut there is a $25 bank fee. Must be picked up within 14 days of purchase at a mutually agreeable date and time or storage fees of $10 daily will commence. Thanks!
