Description for Jaguar E-Type 1971
Up for Sale is a 1971 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 W/ Manual transmission.I bought this at a storage auction "Public Storage" last week it was sitting in a unit since 2004, t was driven in according to the facility. i don't have title or reg but i do have the auction papers from the facility. It was dusty and it don't not have the front bonnet.
This car is pretty solid, etaining its original floors in very nice shape/Sills in nice shape as well. there's some rust as shown in photos that i see.
Mechanical:The Engine is numbers matching, nd It does turnover by hand. The engine oil is very clean, o leaks no wet spots, otor is very clean,
It could fire up and should but I have not attempted to try. (i dont have the key). i was thinking about getting a key and battery and try and start it but i have not as of yet.
The manual transmission shifts thru all gears fine. underneath looks to have a pretty new stainless steel exhaust and muffler.
Paint/Body/trimthe paint will obviously need to be redone, t does appear to retain its original color of Green. the body is straight, nd gaps are good. The underside/floors/sills are in nice shape. The chrometrim/bumpers appear in Very good shape
Interior. The interior appears alloriginal and in decent shape with theexception of the front drivers seat the has some splits,
Theheadliner is sagging
i am a newbie to this kind of car but i will try to answers questions as best i can
