Description for Jaguar E-Type 1967
RW Auto Classics is proud to present this Jaguar E Type Roadster Tub and Bonnet with 4.2 L Engine and Moss Gearbox XKE S1 up for bidding!
RW Auto Classics - (425)-556-0261 - We are a real brick and mortar business located just outside of Seattle, Washington. We have a large supply of Vintage Jaguar and European cars and parts in our warehouse. Please feel free to call (425)-556-0261 or contact us online to ask about current items, or other items not currently listed.
We bought this Roadster project with the intention of restoring her. Sadly we have too many other projects at the moment and don't have the time to give this Roadster the TLC she needs. This auction is for the Roadster Tub, Bonnet, 4.2 L Engine and Moss Gearbox. However, if you need any other E Type Roadster parts such as rear end, front suspension, doors, bonnet pieces, fuel tank, don't hesitate to ask, we probably have them! I don't know much about the history of this old girl, but she definitely looks to need quite a bit of tender loving care.
As you can see in the pictures there is a layer of filler on most the car. There is a lot of body work to be done. The trunk has rust. There is some pin hole rust on the floor, but the actual tub of this Roadster looks to be salvageable! Please see pictures for condition. The fire wall looks to be in good shape! The trunk lid exterior is a little rough, I do have another Roadster trunk lid for sale on our eBay store that's in better shape. Oddly it looks like there was random metal pieces welded to a few spots of the car. I removed most of the non-xke metal as you can see in the pictures.
The ID plate is missing from the car, but it looks to be a Series 1 Jaguar E Type Roadster as the front and rear turn signals are above the bumper. I am unsure of the exact year of this car, but the 4.2L Series 1 E-Types were made between 1964-1968. The Series 1 4.2 liter E Type Engine is a non matching motor, although both the head and block numbers are very close to matching and are both Series 1. The Head reads: 7E51129-9 and the Block reads: 7E51828-9. The Series 1 4.2 liter Moss Gearbox is non matching numbers. It reads: EJ 4940 / KE12313. The EJ prefix is an original 4.2 liter Moss Gearbox. Both the Engine and Gearbox will need to be completely gone through. There are a few bits and pieces attached to the car as seen in the pictures, such as the steering column bracket, gas pedal assembly, water pump, oil filter housing, etc.
This car is sold as is, no title, bill of sale only! This old Jag needs a lot of work, please look at the pictures in detail for overall condition before bidding. Don't hesitate to ask any and all questions, what you see is exactly what you get! We will ship worldwide! Shipping is NOT accurate and will be determined at auction end! If you have questions you can call me directly at 425-979-1966.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions! Sold as-is. Please see pictures, read description, and ask any questions that you might have. We will ship international. International Shipping is INACCURATE and will be determined at auction end. Goodd Luck Bidding!!!
