Description for Jaguar XJ6 1992
If you are in the market for a Jaguar XJ6 of this body style I can tell you right now this is absolutely the best one you ever find . . . . we went to this house to look at antiques and furniture at this estate in Westchester NYand we were thrilled to find this beauty sitting in the garage under a car cover.this car has been garage since the day it was bought it was owned by a non-smoker. no kids and no pets
THIS IS A ONE OWNER ESTATE CAR (OWNER WAS 94 YEARS OLD)
Thank you for looking at our eBay posting. up for sale today is a beautiful 1992 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign withjust 81,827 original miles. this is a ONE OWNER ESTATE CAR. . .the previous owner was a 94 year old man who passed away earlier this year. he was the ONLY driver and this car was his pride and joy. it runs and drives excellent it's in overall AMAZING condition.
The overall condition is excellent . . the burlwood is in incredible condition the leather is fabulous nice and soft and supple (back seat was NEVER sat in) I was so tempted to keep this car because of the condition but I have too many cars at the moment. it appears that every single light works every bulb is working. there are no check engine lights no dash lights of any type the air conditioning is ice cold and obviously has every power option you could imagine. one of the nicest features of the Sovereign model is The large European-style headlights.
I have owned many British cars over the years including Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Range Rovers and other Jaguars, there are "good ones" and "bad ones". . .this is 100% A GOOD ONE !. . . .it goes without saying this car has the usual long list of power and luxury features all of which seem to work fine. mechanically this car is PERFECT . . . the brakes are perfect, the motor runs perfectthe transmission shifts flawlessly, the interior is INCREDIBLE, THE INTERIOR IS AMAZING . . .the brakes are perfec, NO issues with suspension. another thing is this car does not leak oil or any other fluids. I have a cement floor garage that is a immaculate. the car does not leak anything I was very impressed with that.
I think Jaguars and British cars in general get an undeserved bad rap for being hard to deal with.I have owned Rolls, Bentley, Range Rover, Jaguar, Austin Mini's . . . can they be quirky ? sure. . but the upsidefar outweighs the downside. . .you can find ANY part for this car on eBay and other web sites for the same priceas aFord.
another thing definitely worth mentioning is that because of the age of the vehicle. it can be registered and insured very inexpensively as an antique or classic vehicle. I do not have the numbers in front of me but I think full coverage from bumper-to-bumper is under a thousand dollars a year if memory serves.
the paint looks great, nice deep shine, but keep in mind this is a nearly25-year-old car and will have the expected dings and scratches. there issomething about the combination of black over parchment leather leather interior that is just such a striking combination.VERY beautiful.
the virtually indestructible inline 6 cylindermotor starts up quickly and run smoothly,NO smoke NO ticking NO knocks NO issues, the transmission shifts flawlessly the air-conditioning is ICE COLD, headliner looks great, does not seem to have any electrical issues,as far as the interior goes the wood is NEAR mint, you however must keep in mind its almost 25 years old and ANY car of this agewill have dings, scrapes, dents, scratches, wear, etc.there is NOTHING BAD. . . .nothing glaringly objectionable overall THIS CAR IS AMAZING !
please note: in June 2006 there is an indication on the Carfax that the car was declared a "total loss" by aninsurance company. I discovered this as I was writing this eBay listing. I called the son of the man that owned the car and asked him about it. the only thing he could remember was about ten years ago his father was driving it and a piece of metal fell off a truck in front of him and it bounced and hit the roof and trunk lid. . .THATS IT ! . . NO accident NO frame damage NO fire NO flood. . . it was VERY minimal damage and he never figured to even mention it to me and he was very surprised ended up on the Carfax. my guess is because of the age of the car and the fact that it is a Jaguar it really would not take much to consider it a "total loss" the title (NY)is absolutely squeaky clean it is not branded or marked in any way.
I just wanted to put in my two cents on this subject. I know this is a common issue with older luxury cars being declared a total loss by an insurance company. my next-door neighbor has a 1997 Bentley Brooklands that he bought on eBay with a total loss indication on the Carfax. he diligently researched the history of "why" and found that at one point in the cars life someone had stolen the interior out of the car was never in an accident no paintwork no body damage nothing just the interior was stolen. but because of the high replacement cost of the parts the insurance company declared a total loss.I think its ridiculous
