Description for Jaguar Mark IX 1959
Rosner MotorSports is delighted to offer this outstanding 1959 Jaguar Mark IX sedan. The Mark IX is powered by the legendary Jaguar 3.8 liter, six cylinder engine. Power is transmitted through the reliable Borg Warner three speed automatic transmission. Drivability is enhanced with the inclusion of original equipment power steering and four wheel disc brakes.
Our Mark IX is a numbers matching, Southern California car. The car recently came out of long-time ownership (26 years) by a passionate, California based Jaguar enthusiast. The excellent condition of our Mark IX is complemented by a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, extensive restoration/service history and a supporting photographic (DVD) history of the restoration.
Collectible Automobile Magazine featured our Jaguar on the cover of its October 2013 issue. Our Jaguar has been entered in Concours events on the West Coast including the South Coast Botanic Garden Jaguar Show. The car is fondly known as “Scarlet 9” and is the recipient of a recent interior refurbishing.
This 1959 Jaguar Mark IX runs and drives wonderfully and quite majestically. One can proudly drive, display and enjoy this terrific example of British craftsmanship.
