Description for Jaguar Other 1967
You would be hard pressed to find a nicer, more honest, low mile MKII 3.4! The nice example has just over 26,000 original miles from new! This is a true survivor, it came to the Midwest from dry Arizona in the late 80's and accumulated just a few thousand miles until the early90's when it was parked in a garage.
I have been helping a friend, and have completed a careful "conservation".
My goal was not to restore, but to get this beauty back to a running and driving example, while maintaining its originality. To get it to this point it has had the following work done:
Gas Tank cleaned
New fuel pump
All new brake cylinders/pads
Brake discs cleaned or replaced
New Master Cylinder
New Brake booster servo
New Stainless Steel Exhaust
New Spark Plugs
Rebuilt Carbs
Radiator Cleaned
Vehicle has new Pirelli P6 installed years ago, but in excellent condition with no cracks, and less than 1,000 miles.
This is a unique MKII and one of the last 1967's, it was rebadged by Jaguar as a 340, this is evidenced by the Heritage Certificate that shows it as a MKII 3.4.
Please keep in mind, this is not a 100 point concurs restoration, with that said, the body has no rust and is in excellent condition with only a few blemishes, bumps, and bruises. Unfortunately it does have two holes in the fire wall that were caused by corrosion of battery terminals, some years ago. With that said, if you are looking, you know how hard it is to find a rust free example!
I am just finishing up bringing this back to life and getting it ready to find a new home, ideally someone who wants to either keep it as a survivor, or have a nice vehicle, for much less than a over restored example. The interior is in great shape with only a few small holes in the headliner, the electrics are in great shape, and with the exception of the windshield washer, everything works, including the crank-up antenna, it even has the original tool kit (minus one screw driver)!
Yes, it is a 1960's Jaguar so it leaks a bit, but it starts right up! I have been very respectful of its low mileage, and havenot driven it extensively since it came back to life. Feel free to ask any questions!
