I am pleased to offer this very original 1970 Jaguar XKE E Type OTS. The car is an beautiful time capsule back to 1970 with original paint, original interior etc. and just 28,979 +/- original miles. It is technically a one owner car since the current owner (second) has an open title in the original owner's name. The original owner owned the car for 47 years and the current owner purchased the car in January of 2017.

It has the original Cotswold blue paint w/ Navy blue leather interior, Navy blue carpeting, and a black convertible top. It came from Lafayette, IN and spent its 47 winters in a heated warehouse.

Condition:

Original paint: Cotswold Blue

Body - no rust except a little surface rust behind tires where stones kicked up

No apparent accidents

Panel under nose dented - can be fixed

Small dent in front top of bonnet -paintless dent repair could handle

Scrape (not dent) RF wing

Scratch touched up at front top of bonnet

Paint buffed down to primer on gas tank door

Several minor parking lot door dings - all candidates for paintless dent removal

Chrome Wire Wheels: look perfect

Chrome trim- all excellent

Chrome bumpers: rear bumper has a little dent right in the middle but chrome is good, front bumper very slightly bent but has 10" long area around center medallion where chrome has peeled from being bent - medallion ok - all 4 side chrome bumper pieces good

Tires: new looking Goodyear GT Radials - 185/70HR15

Rubber trim: front bumper and windshield trim OK, rear bumper trim marginal at center of boot lid -side window trim needs to be replaced

Glass: all good, window cranks work

Exhaust: quiet, chrome rear pipes excellent

Interior: Navy blue - shows normal age cracks, wear at driver's left bolster and edges of seats where conv top arms rub. No rips or tears. Chrome handle that adjusts driver's seat broke

Dash: All gauges, lights work, clock accurate twice a day.

Radio: Phillips AM-FM-SW radio works w/ working power antenna

Carpeting - Navy blue - drivers side worn

Engine: runs strong, starts immediately even in cold weather

Clutch / Trans: shifts effortlessly, all synchros work

Boot - plywood panels & sheet metal under spare excellent - jack & tools in original bag -wire wheel spare

Conv top - black, excellent except for small 1.5" tear in seam -s/be repairable

Brakes: re-done July 2017

Hand brake works fine

More Notes (from the owner): The body is in good condition except for "parking lot dings" that can easily be removed by paintless dent repair. The panel under the front bumper has a "divot" and there is also a scratch, not dent, on the front bonnet and one on the RF fender. Chrome is excellent except for the middle section of the front bumper which is dented and the center section of the rear bumper which has one tiny ding (both bumpers are in 3 sections). Seats show normal age cracks but are not torn. I just spent over $3000 having the brakes re-done with a new master cylinder, brake servo cylinder, hoses, the system flushed and the brake fluid replaced w/ Castrol Silicone DOT 4 fluid. I also had the carbs rebuilt and a new fuel pump, temperature sending unit, spark plugs, and air filter installed.
