Description for Jaguar Other 1962
1962 Jaguar Mark II 3. 8 Saloon WITH SOFT TOP/SUNROOF. Rare Project. 1962 Jaguar Mark II 3. 8 Soft-Top Saloon I am listing this car for the estate of a friend. This was one of his favorite Jaguars and he planned on a full restoration. Other projects took precedence through the years (including his award winning 1955 XK140 FHC) while this car waited patiently in the shop. His untimely passing has made it available for sale by the estate. This is a rare body style with the sliding canvas soft-top insert on the standard steel Saloon. Car was last driven in 1996. 57. 16 miles. Always garaged and stored in a climate-controlled shop for the past 18 years. No damage or rot. NO RUST! 231 cubic inch. 220 HP OHV 6 cylinder engine. Rated top speed of 125 mph. Has not been started since 1996. Should be serviced by a competent Jaguar mechanic before starting. Oil pan was removed for inspection. Manual transmission with overdrive. Original disc brakes. Complete spares/tool kit (rare) in trunk. 5 original chrome wire wheels in excellent condition. This is a complete. straight. unmolested car ready for refreshing or full restoration. Interior is complete. Upholstery worn. Wood is excellent. Please see photos. Clear Oregon title and file of paperwork showing history of the car. Left-hand (US) drive. With sliding soft-top/sunroof insert. When have you seen one?
