As all Jaguar's are, the car was Born in the UK of course and raised in CALIFORNIA, its whole life... just look at this beauty!!!
The car runs and drives great, is a blast to drive and has ICE BOX COLD A/C!!! System just overhauled!
This example is not for the 'purist' Jaguar Series III fanatic however, as it is now Corvette powered, the purely 'British looks and style' remain and the 'rowdy bulletproof American heart' of the Corvette drive train, brought together and standing 'shoulder to shoulder' harmoniously as ever!! This Jag is also adorned with expensive FOOSE 'SPEEDSTER' FIVE SPOKE RIMS.and they look great,,,.though everything else physically, is purely 'JAGUAR authentic' and has been restored nicely. TO THE FOLKS WHO hHAVE ALWAYS DREAMED OF OWNING SUCH A CAR, though possibly frightened to death of maintaining the original Jag motor and electrics... so..well..here.. CORVETTE RELIABILITY AWAITS!
The previous owner LAVISHED his obvious love for this SERIES III with $$s. As you can see from the photographs, this car is STUNNING, the interior has been restored well in its entirety..and I will list all that has been restored and added below!!
There are only a handful of cars that offer Exclusivity, Beauty and Performance. This Beautiful SERIES III is one such car, offers the aforementioned in spades and is finished in gorgeous MIDNIGHT BLACK with Perfectly contrasting CHARCOAL leather interior and 'Burl Walnut' trim.
This Jaguar is not to be confused with the many 'rusting, worn out, torn up interior' SERIES IIIs available. The car stands so very tall! It's a definite 'oooo and ahhh' machine!!
These SERIES III Jaguars are GORGEOUS to behold, PININFARINA designed the SERIES III, lowered the belt line to 'super sleek' the XJ body. Regarded the prettiest of the XJs in many circles. Though owning one and having to keep up with the complex engineering of the original V6 or V12 motors, is daunting for many. However, maintaining a Corvette LS motor is FAR easier, parts are inexpensive and you can cruise all day and not be worrying. The restoration was completed around 5 years ago, and driven little since.
Car odometer reads 283,975, dwelling on that is certainly unnecessary, as most everything has been replaced.. like underpinnings of suspension brake, steering etc....except the solid CALIFORNIA body!! Around 60,000 miles on the drive train! Drives great!
