Description for Jaguar E-Type 1969

This 1969 E-Type 2+2 4. 2 Series II. has been owned by one family since the day it came off the assembly line in United Kingdom. There were a total of 72. 16 xke's made from 1961-1974. of which 18. 10 were series II and 4. 86 were LHD 2+2's. which is my car. My father purchased it for my mother in 1968 on one of our trips to UK. It's lived it's life in Hawaii. Southern California & now Maryland. Each place it has been housed in a garage. I have had it for the past 20 years. Pictures show all the paperwork for purchase & shipment of Jaguar from UK to Honolulu. Hawaii. My dream is that my jaguar is purchased by a person that will appreciate the beauty and responsibility of a 1969 Jaguar xke. The reason for me choosing to sell. is that we are planning to move back to Hawaii and I unfortunately can't see this car going back to Hawaii as much as I love it as I know it will not be able to be driven the way it should. So looking for the next owner to finish the restoration as we would have done if we decided to keep it and DRIVE IT!!! Always garaged. Never driven in inclement weather. Only driven on weekends over the past 20 years and usually with Jaguar Club of Washington DC. Had it stripped down to bare metal & repainted in Southern California back in 1999. Replaced all rubber trim & window seals at the time of repaint. Replaced exhaust pipes and mounting brackets in 2000. Had the bumpers rechromed at time of repaint (area on front bumper that is in need of rechroming is shown in pictures). Car is painted an original Jaguar color of Golden Sand (Glasurit # JAG-802). Original color was Opalescent Silver Grey (Glasurit # JAG-701)Interior seats are original and are in need of replacement as they are most certainly showing their age. We were planning on replacing this next if we kept the car. Headliner was replaced back in Hawaii in 1995 and still looks great. 75. 91 miles (of which probably 20. 00 was added by me over the last 20 years)New wire rims 2007. New tires 2007 (Definitely less than 500 miles since new tires). Replaced Fuel tank 2015. Rebuilt stock carburetors January 2015. Owners Manual along with various Service & other Manuals. Original tool kit & tire kit.
