Description for Jeep Wagoneer 1978

Restoration began in 2005 when it had 88000 miles and I became the 2nd owner. This vehicle was accident, ent and rust free as it spent most of its life in a rancher's barn. It is better than new because it has been transformed into a Muscle SUV. This Jeep is not your typical "go get groceries bitch" wagon.

I have had the clear title since 2005 along with original dealer papers, wners manuals, nd thorough documented proof that consists of hundreds of highly detailed photos of the work in rebuilding plus hand drafted wiring schematics detailing improvements, nd all receipts for the components of the frame off restoration.

The Green metallic finish has a deep shine and the bright work, tainless trim fastened with all new clips, he polished aluminum wheels and all the chrome blazes in the sun.

The frame and undercarriage were gently stripped (not blasted) of all road dust and the original undercoating.The clean factory corrosion treated steel was thoroughly spray coated, ith 2 coats of self etching primer and 4 coats of satin black Rustoleum enamel to the frame, nd gloss black to the floor from the firewall to tailgate.

AMC 360 Engine, H400 transmission, ransgo performance modified valve body. TCI Streetfighter torque converter, W 1339 transfer case and Dana 44 axles has been meticulously rebuilt with all new bushings bearings friction plates, lutches and seals and it has 500 miles since the rebuild. The Dextron II transmission fluid has just been replaced.

All 8 fire instantly on ignition and the engine idles with a light cam lope with a deep bark.Great throttle response.Engine heads wake up at 2300 RPM just as the TCI torque converter stalls.Turns many a head wherever she goes.

New high torque starter, attery and cables with mil spec terminals.No worries with the wiring harness as well.
The engine intake manifold is an Edelbrock Air gap unit with a Holley 4V w electric choke Street Avenger. Air cleaner is a Ram Air dual snorkel with K&N filter and Holley Electric fuel pump. and cartridge fuel filters on each side of the fuel pressure regulator.Fuel tank has been vetted with a new fuel sock.

Mallory billet HEI distributor with new drive gear and 8mm armor shield stainless braided ignition wires along with a fresh set of AC plugs last inspection indicates excellent balanced compression and the plugs all have a light tan coating.
Doug Thorley ceramic coated headers flow into a custom dual stainless 3" exhaust system with an H crosspipe that has dual splitters with exhaust exiting down and to the sides in front of rear wheels.2 new Magnaflow polished stainless steel mufflers.
Edlebrock heads and covers,Crane cam, oller rockers.New double row timing chain and cover.
4 core radiator and new AC condenser.

Now for the AC.It is an original R12 system all rebuilt, nd I do mean rebuilt with all new components down to the last O ring.
New condenser,new hoses and pressure fittings, ew York compressor,clutch, ulleys and belts. New receiver drier, ew evaporator hoses and fittings,The blower motor,housing, an control and thermostat have all been replaced. All the ducts and vents are all clean with fresh gaskets.The system has been charged with Dupont Igloo and the proper volume of mineral oil. Also has the wing windows if you like fresh air on your face.B&M deep aluminum transmission pan and cooler, long with a replaceable screw off/on transmission fluid filter remotely mounted under the radiator support with stainless braided lines.
Derale fluid temperature guage.

All new Sun Super Tach and 5 analog guages mounted into a rally type cluster made from solid teak wood. It is mounted on the transmission tunnel.The original gauges remain in the original dash and are functional.The original AM/FM radio is still in the dash and fully functional.

The Quadratrac has the high/ low range option and functions perfectly.The low range will pull anything you have anywhere.The BW 1339 transfer case with low range option and Warn hubs were dismantled,cleaned inspected and overhauled.The transfer case sports a new chain,clutch pack,needle bearings,seals, olyurethane mounts and grade 8 bolts.It is filled with the proper TCL-1 limited slip fluid,the warn hubs were overhauled and repacked with bearing grease.The balanced driveshaft and front axle have been fitted with all new Spicer U joints.Also new rear wheel bearings and seals were installed with the brakes.

This vehicle is equipped with a Class 1 towing hitch with stainless steel receiver and 2" ball.

Fully rebuilt GM tilt column with new ignition switch and keys.New steering linkage, amper and rag joints.

New tight performance ratio, GR racing steering box and new power steering pump.

Suspension upgraded, ll new polyurethane mounts and bushings.All new super duty front and rear leaf springs mounted with new grade 8 U bolts, nd rear coil overs.The stance is perfect lift is biased at the rear 2.5 inches. It rides and handles like a dream.

New brake booster, ylinders, alipers rotors/pads/brake lines and fluid.
All systems functional.Completely new R12 A/C system fully charged.

Power tailgate window works up/down perfectly from the dash or the rear key switch.
Tailgate and 4 doors latch in place perfectly.The manual window regulators crank up and down all the way and high end weatherstripping is all new.

Original factory aluminum slotted wheels with matching stainless lug nuts.

Scat bucket seats are new.Rear seat was removed and a hinged,padded and carpeted tool box straddles the rear wheel arches for jack, ools, xe, ifle etc.
Carpet and sound deadening temperature insulation was replaced, nd looks clean and plush. Floor mats are Jeep.
