Description for Jeep Comanche 1986
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very rare 1986 Jeep Commanche X pick-up truck. This Commanche has had just one owner since new and has just 135k original miles. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep Commanche to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, his is a gorgeous Jeep. It is finished in two tone black and silver with red striping to match the red interior. As with any older vehicle, lease don't expect perfection. While the paint looks amazing for its age, ou can see a small rust bubble or two below the paint. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass all around. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, oors and tail gate all open and close easily. The frame rails looks pretty smooth and the bed looks barely used. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Even the original front fog lights are still intact. You may notice in the photos that the lettering is missing from the right fender. I found it in the glove box, nd it will go with the truck. The original alloy wheels look good for their age and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how nice this Jeep looks.
I would rate the interior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The dash is clean. The carpets show well for their age, oo. The red bench seat shows well and is comfortable. The top of the seat shows a little cracking from age, hich is normal. The heater works properly. Even the original AMC stereo still sounds good. The rear window slides open to provide a nice breeze in the cab. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Jeep Commanche. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
Mechanically, his Jeep appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.8L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The brakes and steering feel good, oo. The engine makes good power and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issies. The only thing I can see that this truck is in need of mechanically would be probably a rear u-joint. It sometimes clunks when you put it in gear if you're sitting still and there is a light vibration in the driveline at highway speeds. I'm no mechanic but that sounds like a worn out u-joint to me. She drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. I can probably count on one hand the number of these I see in any given year. Most are worn out, eglected too far gone to save. This Commanche is one of few exceptions. This is the nicest one I've seen in person in a long time. It gets compliments everywhere I drive it. If you've been looking to get your hands on one of these, his one definitely deserves your consideration. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
