**THIS SCRAMBLER IS A TON OF FUN TO DRIVE**You are viewing a RARE 1983 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler 4x4. One Owner for last 11 years. Only 101. 00 actual miles. Straight 6. 5-speed. This Scrambler runs. shifts. and drives excellent. The four wheel drive engages as it should. The drive train is excellent operating order including the motor. transmission. clutch and transfer case. The brakes and power steering work as they should. There are no leaks in the exhaust system. Both hard and soft tops are included. The interior is in nice condition. The windows roll up and down as they they should and the seats are comfortable. In addition. the windshield wipers. heater. high beams/low beams. turn signals. and rear brake lights all work. As you switch the high beams on. a blue indicator lights up on the dash-this also occurs when you engage the four wheel drive. It is pretty neat to see that the indicator lights work on the dash! There is some typical rust bubbling on the dash near the steering column. There is rust. The bed has rust holes in it and you can see through them. A good welding shop should be able to fabricate a bed pretty easy. There is rust on the exterior of the bed and on/around the doors and rear wheel wells. The engine bay is solid. Most of these Scramblers have had some degree of body work. if you want to get into one at a great price. why not get into one that runs and drives great and has low original miles?The 32 x 11. 5 x 15 Sidewinder Radial Tires and Deep Dish Aluminum Wheels are in good condition. The Lock Out hubs work great. Also. the front and rear bumpers are custom made. This is a Scrambler that you can drive and enjoy today and restore as you go. As you know. they only made so many of these and it is hard to get into a running and driving Scrambler for this kind of money.
